1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & PATENT NOTICE The Bear Vice⢠name, logos, website content, images, videos, and product designs are the exclusive property of Bear Vice and are protected by Canadian, United States, and international copyright and trademark laws. Patent Pending: The mechanical design, geometry, and functional locking mechanism of the Bear Vice product are currently the subject of pending patent applications. Unauthorized reproduction, reverse-engineering, duplication, or commercial distribution of the Bear Vice design or its intellectual property is strictly prohibited and will be met with immediate legal action.
2. PRODUCT DISCLAIMER & INTENDED USE (IMPORTANT) The Bear Vice is designed strictly as a supplemental mechanical lockout accessory intended to reduce the risk of accidental discharge of standard 225g/230g bear spray canisters during transport and storage (e.g., in enclosed vehicle cabs, gear bags, and UTVs).

Not a Guarantee: The Bear Vice does NOT guarantee the prevention of all accidental discharges under all environmental or mechanical conditions.

Not a Substitute for Training: The use of the Bear Vice is not a substitute for proper bear safety training, situational awareness, or adherence to the safe handling, transport, and temperature storage guidelines provided by the original manufacturer of your bear spray canister.

Compatibility: The Bear Vice is designed to fit standard North American 225g/230g canisters. We do not warrant its compatibility or safety with modified, damaged, or non-standard canisters.
3. ASSUMPTION OF RISK & USER RESPONSIBILITY Working, hunting, overlanding, or recreating in wildlife habitats carries inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury or death from wildlife encounters. Handling aerosolized capsicum (pepper spray) carries inherent risks of accidental exposure, which can cause severe respiratory distress and physical harm. By purchasing and using the Bear Vice, you explicitly acknowledge these risks and agree that you are solely responsible for:

Inspecting your Bear Vice and bear spray canister for extreme wear, damage, or degradation prior to use.

Following the provided installation videos and instructions to ensure the device is mounted correctly.

REMOVING the Bear Vice completely before entering the field or transitioning to a state where immediate deployment of the bear spray may be required.
4. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bear Vice, its founders, officers, affiliates, and manufacturing partners shall NOT be held liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:

Personal injury, death, or property damage resulting from wildlife encounters.

Personal injury, respiratory damage, or property damage resulting from the accidental discharge of bear spray.

Product failure or failure to deploy bear spray resulting from user misuse, improper installation, failure to remove the device in an emergency, or mechanical modification of the Bear Vice.
5. GOVERNING LAW This Legal Notice and any disputes arising from the use of the Bear Vice product or website shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
